Reiki is a Japanese word that means Universal Life-Force-Energy.
Illnesses found within the physical body, stress and anxiety within the emotional body, mental restlessness within the mental body, and the desire to achieve a higher degree of Spiritual Consciousness can all be assisted by working with Tera Mai Healing.
Reiki can help us to move through the blockages that prevent our lives from flowing as they should. The energies enhance and empower our own natural ability to heal ourselves. As Reiki is energy channelling; it has no association with religion, faith, or belief systems and can be received by anyone who is willing to be receive it. Reiki can be given in a hands-on treatment and can also be sent across time and space to people, situations, plants and animals, known as distance healing.
When receiving a Reiki treatment the client remains fully clothed and the energies can be received while lying down or sitting. With soft, relaxing music playing in the background, the practitioner gently places their hands in various traditional positions either gently on the body or just above the body, each position is held for a few minutes. There is no pressure, making it ideal for treating the very young, the elderly, pregnant women and those recovering from surgery. Tera-Mai™ Reiki is a natural, holistic and safe system of energy healing.
You may feel a pleasant sensation of warmth, coolness or tingling. A treatment is usually a very relaxing experience. It can be an opportunity for emotional release, a chance to talk, or you may simply fall asleep!
You may feel heat or cold from the practitioner’s hands, a gentle pulsating coolness, an effervescent tingling or a cool gentle breeze. As the energy comes into balance, stress and tensions are released promoting a deep sense of well being. However, it is advised that consult your General Medical Practitioner (GP) if you suspect you have a medical condition.
